Walmer volunteers switch on the town christmas lights.
Christmas officially arrived on Friday evening, 22 November, when volunteers from RNLI Walmer were given the privilege of turning on the town's Christmas lights in Deal High Street after being invited to do so by the Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade.

Residents of the town enjoyed festive fun, a sprinkling of snow and entertainment, and volunteers were asked to describe their role at the station before the big switch-on conducted by helm Dan Sinclair.
