This year’s total of £680.00 added to the previous sum raised now brings the total amount the Leek Club has given Cullercoats Lifeboat to over £12,000. The funds have been raised with a variety of tombolas, raffles and domino cards as well as the help and support of both staff and customers. Mal Ross, who has run the leek club for ten years as Chairman, would like to thank all the staff and customers at the Rockcliffe Arms who have helped by supporting their fundraising efforts throughout the year. On top of this, Danielle, one of the supporters of the club, secured match funding through her workplace, EY. Because of this match funding, the grand total has raised to £1,360.

Frank Taylor, Operations Manager Cullercoats Lifeboat, said: ‘Big thanks must go to all who have supported the Leek Club at the Rockcliffe Arms. Over the years, the amount they have raised has directed benefitted Cullercoats RNLI and we are so grateful for their continued support. £12,000 is an incredible amount of money and we are all overwhelmed by their generosity. We can't believe we are also receiving match funding. We can't thank the club, the supporters and EY enough.'
