Largs CSO'S have a successful Life Jacket Clinic over the weekend.

Members of Largs Community Safety team held a successful Life Jacket Clinic in Glasgow this weekend.

The Largs based community Safety Officers were in Glasgow this weekend over two days they carried out a Life Jacket Clinic at The Glasgow Angling Centre where public support was fantastic.
Of the Life Jackets Checked 25% were found to be faulty and would not have inflated in an emergency.
Such was the support, a sum of £135 was donated as a thank you for the Clinic it was greatly appreciated.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives.
