To the delight of the crowds of people who had lined the cliff paths and filled the lifeboat station and in her usual spectacular style RNLB “Rose” also launched twice on exercise during the afternoon.

Lifeboat souvenirs could be purchased and refreshments including a BBQ were served throughout the day. Mullion Coastguards and Mullion Fire Fighters were also in attendance along with RNLI Lifeguards, the RNLI Face to Face Fundraising Team and The Lizard Lifeboat Community Safety Officers. There was also an ICE Engineering Workshop to entertain the children and adults alike!

Organisers wish to thank Peter Greenslade, Phil Greet and Johnny Richards for providing the PA and sound system, and their guests for the day Mullion HM Coastguards, Mullion Firefighters, the RNLI Lifeguards and Face to Face Fundraising Team and the ICE Engineering Workshop team. A special thank you to Tesco, Helston for donating the bread rolls and to Roskilly’s of St Keverne for the fabulous and generous donation of their delicious ice cream. Much appreciation was also paid to all of the volunteers who helped during the day and to those who had donated cakes and raffle prizes.

Finally thank you to everyone who came made the event another resounding success for The Lizard Lifeboat Station.
