In East Sussex, Camber West, Hastings Pelham, Hastings Pier and St Leonard’s beach will have daily patrols from 6th July to 1st September. Camber Central will open from 25th May to 29th September, whilst Bexhill-on-Sea will be open from 13th July to 8th September.

In West Sussex, Bognor Regis will be open from 6th July to 1st September, whilst the Littlehampton East and West beaches have been open since 18th May.

Craig Maltby, RNLI Lead Lifeguard Supervisor for Chichester, said, ‘With this summer predicted to be hot, we are expecting the beaches to be very busy during the holidays. Our lifeguards will be available from 10am-6pm every day to ensure that everyone can enjoy the weather in safety.

‘It is important that you swim between the red and yellow flags when in the sea and pay attention to the lifeguards’ advice. It isn’t to stop you having a good time, but to help save your life.’
