RNLI Plymouth Lifeboat launched on service to assist the crew of a capsized dinghy on Sunday evening (17 Feb)

The RNLI Plymouth inshore lifeboat (Annabel E Jones) and the volunteer crew launched on service Sunday evening to assist a capsized sailing dinghy near Mountbatten Breakwater. The dinghy and crew was quickly recovered and taken back to Mountbatten slipway.The volunteer crew returned to station 5pm.

If you see someone in trouble in the water or along the coast phone: 999 and ask for the coastguard.

Always carry a means of calling for help and keep it within reach.

Always wear a lifejacket or buoyancy aid, ensure everyone onboard knows how to call for help, get appropriate training, and check your engine and fuel before every trip.
