Calshot RNLI launch to red flare sighting
On Thursday 14 February at 6.30pm Calshot RNLI D Class Lifeboat 'Willet' was tasked by the HM Coastguard to reports of red flare sightings between Cobden Bridge and Woodmill.
After searching for an hour with no signs of any persons or vessels in distress the rescue teams stood down and returned to their stations.
Once Calshot lifeboat had returned to station at 8.35pm it was washed down and made ready for service.
The crew were then able to return home and enjoy the rest of their Valentine's evening.
