After visiting all of the RNLI's lifeboat stations in 2018, James and Belinda are this year driving anti-clockwise around the whole of Scotland (including Shetland. Orkney & the Western Isles), visiting all 77 RNLI lifeboat stations, past and present. In doing so, they will travel over 2,800 miles in 19 days.

The couple plan to embark on a different RNLI-911 Challenge each year for the next six years until 2024 when the RNLI will celebrate its bicentenary. Their goal is not only to raise awareness of the charity and its volunteers who save lives at sea, but also to raise funds via sponsorship to buy a D Class inshore lifeboat by 2024.

Today, James and Belinda met up with Coxswain David McHaffie, Mechanic Paul 'Gunny' Gunn and Lifeboat Operations Manager, Dr Sam Jones and shared tea and banter in the station.

Lifeboat Operations Manager, Dr Sam Jones said: 'It was lovely to see Belinda and James again. Unlike last year, they had more time to have a stroll around the beautiful town of Tobermory. We wish them well for the rest of their journey and their six year project.'
