Clovelly Lifeboat Station will be holding their annual Lifeboat Weekend on 4 and 5 August.
The RNLI Volunteer Crew and Fundraising committee will be holding the infamous Sea Swim from Bucks Mills to Clovelly on the Saturday morning. Sunday will see a whole host of activities starting early with a Gun Run through the cobbled streets by Hartland ATC. Throughout the day Clovelly Gig Club will be encouraging visitors to have a go at Gig rowing and the Coastguard Helicopter will be flying over about lunchtime. There will be plenty of fun and games to keep you entertained, a BBQ and a raffle.
We are also continuing with the Bake Off that began last year. This is an opportunity for skilled, or maybe just very willing, cake makers to enter a decorated home made cake for judging. The theme this year is Nautical but Nice. To enter, please email [email protected] by 8pm Thursday 2 August. Cakes will need to be at the station by 9am on Saturday 5 August. There is no entry fee, but we do request that you donate your cake to be served at the Station Teas during the day. More information can be found on the Clovelly Lifeboat Station Facebook page.
This is a great day for you to meet our volunteers, see the station and find out more about equipment required to help us ‘Save Lives At Sea’.
