Beaumaris lifeboat volunteers tasked to an incident at Menai Suspension Bridge.

The volunteer crew members of the R N LI Beaumaris lifeboat received a page from the U.K Coastguard, to launch so as to be available to assist if required the north Wales police and Penmon Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team and The Coastguard Helicopter in relation to an incident near the Menai Bridge

At 4.42 pm the Beaumaris lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington launched on service the lifeboat had reached the bridge when the U.K. Coastguard informed the lifeboat and the Penmon Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team together with Coastguard Rescue Helicopter that the incident was now being treated as a false alarm

The lifeboat was recovered at Beaumaris at 5.05 pm being washed down, refuelled and prepared for her next service call this being achieved by 5.35 pm.
