
Newbiggin Lifeboat Day 2018
Newbiggin's Blessing of the Lifeboat service this Sunday 15th July 2018 signals the countdown to next weekend's lifeboat day on Sunday 22nd July 2018.
The following Sunday 22nd July 2018 sees Newbiggin Lifeboat Day getting underway at 1.30pm with a variety of stalls and attractions in and around the lifeboat station. There will be displays and demonstrations undertaken by the lifeboat subject to operational demands throughout the afternoon. In the boatpark area there will be a variety of stalls including souvenirs, raffles, books and gifts along with entertainment for the younger ones.
For those wishing to enjoy a selection of home made cakes and scones the boathouse will be serving these along with hot and cold drinks.
Throughout the afternoon local band 'Percy and the Piglets will be performing live on the adjacent sea front with further entertainment by the local steel band Steel by the Sea.
Please come along and give us your support for our major fundraising day. There is ample free parking at Church Point next to Newbiggin Maritime Centre and this promises to be a busy day for our coastal community with a variety of events taking place.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
