Atlantic Lifeboat tasked to broken down vessel
The larger Atlantic lifeboat was launched to assist a motor cruiser that had broken down in the Sully Bay area. The vessel was quickly located and a tow was established and the vessel was towed to the safety of Cardiff Bay barrage.

Jason Dunlop, lifeboat operations manager for Penarth RNLI station said, 'this call out is a timely reminder for boat owners to check that their boats are prepared for going to sea, especially in this cold spell.'

This was the second call out in a matter of days for the Penarth volunteers.
