Penarth RNLI lifeboat undertake search

The larger Atlantic class lifeboat was launched to carry out a shore line search for a male believed to be in the Sully / Sully Island area after concerns were raised for his safety.

An extensive search was carried out, together with coastguard officers on the shore at Sully. The man was subsequently found at Sully Yacht Club, and he was later conveyed to hospital. The lifeboat returned to Penarth RNLI station, where the normal Tuesday night training session commenced, after well deserved warm drinks and chocolate for the crew.
