Stranraer Lifeboat Assists with Search for Missing Person

Stranraer's volunteer lifeboat crew responded to their pagers at 11.08pm last night (August 16).

Stranraer's inshore lifeboat, Stranraer Saviour (Civil Service 49), was tasked by Belfast Coastguard to assist Police Scotland in the search for a missing person in the Stranraer area. The volunteer crew searched Stranraer Harbour and South Loch Ryan. A short time later the missing person was located by Police Scotland. Stranraer's lifeboat was stood down and then rehoused and mad ready for service again by her volunteer crew at 12.05am. Stranraer and Ballantrae Coastguard Rescue Teams also attended.
