Teignmouth RNLI lifeboat crew respond to speedboat incident
On Saturday afternoon (28 April 2018) two people were assisted in Teignmouth after their speedboat overturned.
The volunteer lifeboat crew received a request to launch at 5.50pm and were promptly on scene at 5.57pm. Devon Air Ambulance and HM Coastguard team were also on scene. The two casualties had been thrown from the boat when it overturned. One casualty had suffered a broken ankle and was taken to the lifeboat slipway by a private rib and then transferred to the boathouse. The second casualty was recovered by the Teignmouth lifeboat the
Two Annes and taken to the boathouse, the casualty vessel was brought to the harbour by the crew. Casualty care was given until the ambulance arrived at 6.35pm then the casualty was transferred to the ambulance.
The lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service.
