Little and Broad Haven RNLI volunteer crew assist broken down boat
Little and Broad Haven lifeboat crew was tasked by Milford Haven Coastguard this afternoon (Friday 13 April) at 1:00pm after reports of a boat appearing to have broken down
Milford Haven Coastguards tasked Little and Broad Haven RNLI lifeboat to assist a boat who appeared to have broken down North of Newgale.
The Coastguards received a few calls of concern of a boat appearing to try and paddle out of the swell close to the rocks.
The volunteer crew located the casualty boat with one person on board just North of Pen-Y-Cwm, The person on board had been paddling for about 50 minutes to try and get him self to safety.
With the engine still not running and unable to make his own way back to safety the lifeboat crew decided the safest option was for the boat to be towed back to Nolton Haven.
Once the casualty was handed over to Broad Haven Coastguard team, the volunteer crew from Little and Broad Haven lifeboat were released from service and returned to station.
