Whitstable Lifeboat assists Motor Cruiser

Whitstable's Atlantic 85 Lifeboat Lewisco was diverted from an exercise at 7.10 on Thursday evening to assist a broken down 26-foot motor cruiser with 4 persons onboard off Herne Bay.

The lifeboat crew located the casualty off the Neptune Arm and took the craft and its occupants under tow for Herne Bay Harbour and placed the vessel on a mooring and the occupants placed ashore.

This was the 40th call of the year for Whitstable's volunteer lifeboat crews.
