Challenge walker reaches Cleethorpes Lifeboat Station
Volunteers at Cleethorpes Lifeboat Station were delighted this afternoon, 26 September, when challenge walker Ken Scott arrived on his walk around the coast of England.
Ken is a lifelong supporter of the RNLI from Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex. He set himself the challenge of walking and cycling the entire coastline of England in 2017, has already completed the west coast and is now headed south back towards his home and start point.
He is averaging 20 miles a day, carrying his supplies with him and camping each night.
Throughout his epic journey, Ken is raising funds for the RNLI and Parkinson’s UK, and has already raised over £2,000 on his website at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/coast17
After a cup of tea and a quick photo, he continued his journey and is expected in Mablethorpe tomorrow, 27 September 2017.
