RNLI Longhope Lifeboat receives amazing and very special donation of £2781.21
Nicola, wife of the recently deceased Crew Member Matthew Budge makes poignant visit to lifeboat station.
Nicola Budge, devoted wife of the late Matthew Budge recently presented a cheque for a magnificent sum of £2781.21 to RNLI Longhope Lifeboat. The money was raised from generous donations collected at Matthew's funeral and from various other sources.
Supporting Nicola were her four lovely and very brave children, Osmond, Janet, Edgar and Nathan. It was an emotional event for all present but Geordie Taylor, our Vice Chairman of the Lifeboat Committee and Deputy Launching Authority graciously accepted the cheque on behalf of the station.
We will always remember our volunteer Crew Member Matthew with great fondness and respect. Thank you Nicola, your children and all those who donated, very much.
