Walmer RNLI launched to a cabin cruiser in difficulty
Volunteers from Walmer RNLI went to the aid of a cabin cruiser with fuel problems.
On Tuesday 14 November, Dover Coastguard tasked Walmer RNLI’s Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Donald McLauchlan to a 15m cabin cruiser three miles east of Dover, which had fuel contamination and one person on-board.
Under the command of Andrew Coe, and with Andrew Howland, James Foster and Max Bowyer as crew, the lifeboat was soon on scene. Once alongside, the helm transferred a crew member onto the vessel to assist. The lifeboat escorted the vessel into Dover Harbour, before returning to station.
