Night call for Holyhead lifeboat crew
Holyhead lifeboat crew were raised from their beds overnight after a call out to a yacht in trouble.
HM Coastguard paged the volunteer crew at 2am Friday morning (July 28) after the 15 metre sailing vessel, with two French crew on board, reported engine failure seven miles north of Holyhead.
The yacht had been swept off-course by the strong winds and north flowing tide.
Co-ordinated by Holyhead Coastguard, the lifeboat crew reached the vessel and towed her safely back to Holyhead Marina, returning back at 4.30am.
