The prevailing weather conditions at the time were good visibility, calm seas with a slight swell. The St Agnes RNLI lifeboat as well as the coastguard assisted in the search. Thankfully the missing person was located on land and as a result the voluntary rescue services were stood down.

The St Ives lifeboat with coxswain Robert Cocking at the helm and voluntary crew returned to station at 6.10pm.
