John hangs up his boots at Porthdinllaen RNLI

John Jones has been presented with a certificate in recognition of his service to the RNLI at Porthdinllaen.

Porthdinllaen RNLI volunteer crew member has been presented with a service certificate charting his eleven years of service at Porthdinllaen upon his retirement recently. John was presented by former Coxswain at Porthdinllaen, Captain Peter Jones.

John said: 'I feel honoured to have been able to assist my fellow crew members at Porthdinllaen of carrying on the tradition of the RNLI. My fellow crew members at Porthdinllaen were like my extended family, I'm sure to pay them a visit every now and again. I wish to thank them all for their support and all the best for the future'

Keneth Fitzpatrick, Lifeboat Operations Manager at Porthdinllaen added: ' On behalf of everyone involved with Porthdinllaen Lifeboat Station, I wish to thank John for his dedication over the last 11 years and wish all the best for the future
