Criccieth RNLI Lifeboat launch to submerged car

Following calls from concerned members of the public, the Station's Atlantic 85 class lifeboat, Doris Joan, was launched to the car which was partially submerged near the buoyed channel into Porthmadog harbour-between the Powder House and North Bank at Black Rock Sands.

It was understood that the vehicle was unoccupied prior to the launch. The Crew undertook a search of the area to ensure no persons were nearby. After ensuring no one was injured or in danger, the Crew were stood down and returned to Station allowing Criccieth's UK Coastguard team and North Wales Police to continue investigations regarding the vehicles owners.
