Members of Canterbury, Folkestone and Thanet Archery Clubs were meeting in the grounds of Saltwood Castle near Hythe on Sunday 9 April and the money donated came from funds raised at their various events. The three clubs involved meet regularly and each year a different club chooses the charity to which to donate. On receiving the cheque Ramsgate RNLI management committee chairman Eric Burton thanked the archery club members for their support.

After receiving the cheque the RNLI visitors spent an interesting hour with the club members learning about long bow archery.
