When on scene, Coxswain Stuart Adams, in charge of the RNLI lifeboat 13-02 ‘The Morrell’ and her volunteer crew put two crewmembers on board the casualty to assess the situation. Coxswain Adams decided the casualty should be towed to Dover so the crew volunteers established a tow.

Once the cabin cruiser was in Dover Harbour and safely berthed, the RNLi lifeboat returned to Dungeness, refuelled and made ready for service.

Coxswain Adams said “Thank you to the range safety boat ‘Smit Cerne’ for their assistance with this casualty”
