Gravesend RNLI lifeboat crew are presented with a £5000 donation
The charities volunteer lifeboat crew were recently presented with a very kind and generous donation from family members of the late Patricia Ellen Rose Bull at Erith Yacht Club.
The donation from the late Mrs Bull’s legacy was left in the memory of her daughter (Sara’s) late husband Robert Taylor. Sara’s husband passed away eight years ago and she explained that when her mum made out her will she left two bequests, one to the RNLI and the other to the Downs Syndrome Association.
Sara said: ‘Although mum didn't have good sea legs, she admired those who did. She took a great interest in our boats and sailing holidays, climbing aboard our Yacht in various marinas during our holidays on the east coast of England. I think this connection was the reason for her bequest and her affection to her son in law, Robert.’
We would like to thank Mrs Bull’s daughter Sara and her family for this very kind and generous donation.

Gravesend is one of four lifeboat stations on the River Thames that are operated by the RNLI. Gravesend Lifeboat covers an area from Holehaven, at the western end of Canvey Island, to the Thames Flood Barrier at Woolwich, a distance of 26 miles. A patch which covers Kent, Essex and South London.
