Lifeboats News Release

The Pwllheli RNLI lifeboat station appeal to renew their inshore lifeboat receives over £1,500 from supporters.

Mr & Mrs Rees have been holidaying in the Pwllheli area for years from their home in Wigan. Celebrations started on Sunday, August 7th, at their home in Wigan with lunch and donations to the Pwllheli appeal instead of gifts – raising £450.

The following weekend, Saturday 11th August, celebrations continued at the Pwllheli Sports Club, Efailnewydd. With over 100 guests attending, playing games, and a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. They rose over £1110 which brought the grand total to £1,560
Pwllheli RNLI Coxswain, Clive More said: “On behalf of Pwllheli lifeboat Station I would like to thank Mr & Mrs Rees for their generous donation. Also I would like to thank their friends, family and the businesses which supported the fundraising. The donation will go towards our inshore lifeboat appeal”.
