Staithes RNLI on night call-out
A 14-year-old girl on a Duke of Edinburgh award scheme was brought by lifeboat to Runswick Bay for treatment after falling ill in the early hours of Sunday morning (22 May).
The girl was taken aboard the lifeboat and evacuated to Runswick village at the other end of the bay.
A spokesman for Staithes RNLI said: ‘This was a genuine medical call-out. The girl was with a properly organised and well supervised group when she fell ill.’
