7 Year Old Ruby surprises Volunteer RNLI crew
Ruby Blake from Ty Croes turned up at Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station with her mother Helen on Thursday and presented DLA John Hanby with a donation and letter.
Ruby, a big fan of the RNLI, has been baking Shortbread and making Pom-Pom's and selling them to friends and family raising £51 which she has donated to the volunteer crew of Trearddur Bay RNLI.
John Hanby, volunteer DLA at the lifeboat station said 'It is wonderful that someone so young is engaging in the activities of the RNLI and helping to raise funds towards training, every penny goes towards helping to save lives at sea.'
Accompanying the donation was a letter that Ruby had written herself thanking the volunteers for 'all the amazing work you do.'

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives.
