St David’s holiday park of Red Wharf Bay who are proud supporters of Moelfre RNLI have recently presented a cheque of £2500 to Moelfre’s volunteer crew after holding various fundraising events though the 2015/16 season.
The management and staff of St David’s holiday park’s most recent fundraising effort was a successful ‘fun-day’ held at the holiday park in Red Wharf Bay over the bank holiday weekend. The event was open to the public and residents of the park with stalls, competitions, trampolines and other fun activities.
Local businesses such as Rib Ride, Pili Palace, Anglesey Sea-Zoo, Piggery Pottery, Gypsy Wood, Jewson’s, Huws Gray, Travis Perkins, Storws Wen Golf Club, Venue Cymru, Liverpool football club and many more supported the fun packed event which was a huge success raising over £1500. St David’s Park kindly donated a spa treatment at their newly completed spa and pool facility along with meals for two and a bottle of wine at their popular restaurant ‘Tavern on the bay’. The inshore lifeboat ‘Enfys’ and its volunteer crew from Moelfre carried out a routine demonstration exercise at the recent fun-day, just offshore at the holiday park where members of the public could get an up-close view of how rescues are carried out.

“St David’s holiday park is proud to support a charity such as the RNLI, in particular our local volunteer crew at Moelfre who rely on denotations like ours to save lives at sea. I’d like to thank all of the staff, park residents and locals for coming to support our events. The crew do a fantastic job and deserve every penny. We hope to hold further events throughout the year and are planning a carol service at Christmas”
