Eyemouth RNLI lifeboat tows motor boat back to harbour

Lifeboats News Release

Eyemouth lifeboat and its volunteer crew were launched around 2:30pm on Saturday 9th July 2016 after a small motorboat requested assistance following mechanical failure.

The 5 metre boat, with two people on board, had lost engine power 2 miles north west of St Abbs head.

Eyemouth lifeboat was quickly on scene and passed a two line to the vessel and then towed it back to Eyemouth harbour where it was placed safely alongside just over an hour after the initial launch.
