Trearddur Bay and Beaumaris lifeboats launched to a vessel with engine problems.
At 4.04 pm the pagers of the volunteer crew members of the R N L I Beaumaris lifeboat went off requesting the lifeboat be launched to take over the tow of a cabin cruiser from Trearddur Bay lifeboat.
The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington with her volunteer crew launched at 4.10 pm at the request of the U.K. Coastguard and proceeded to Abermenai Point where a rendezvous was made with the Trearddur Bay Atlantic 85 Lifeboat. Hereford Endeavour
The Beaumaris lifeboat then towed the casualty vessel to a mooring near Port Dinorwic marina. Once the two crew aboard the cruiser advised that all was well. The Beaumaris Lifeboat then proceeded back to her station.
The inshore lifeboat arrived back at Beaumaris at 5.50 pm being refuelled and prepared for further service by 6.25 pm.

The charity welcomes people from all walks of life and no previous sea-going experience is needed to join the lifeboat crew. The RNLI provides fantastic training to turn ordinary people into lifesavers. By volunteering with the RNLI people will gain some great experience, knowledge and skills.
Beaumaris RNLI are always looking for new volunteers to help run the lifesaving service. If you are aged 17 or over, physically fit, work or live within 10 minutes of the lifeboat station and eager to join a lifesaving organisation then please come by and say hello.
The volunteers meet every Thursday evenings at 6.00pm for their weekly training exercises.
