Burry Port RNLI lifeboat volunteers in search for missing person

The charity's D-class lifeboat Diane Hilary was speedily launched by Helm Rob Davies and crew members Lee Fox and Osian Bowen to complete a shoreline search from Burry Port Harbour toward Cefn Sidan in Pembrey.

Working alongside coastguard teams from Burry Port, Loughor and Llansteffan and the Dyfed Powys Police, all agencies exhausted all avenues in the hope of finding the person safe and well.

At 11.09am reports came in from Milford Haven Coastguard that the missing person had been located at an address ashore and all agencies could stand down and the lifeboats could return to station.

With a low tide and in thick fog the volunteer lifeboat crew showed great skill and team working in the multi-agency search.
