Port St Mary lifeboat rescues five people
At 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday 25 August) Belfast coastguard informed Port St Mary RNLI that a small boat with five people on board had engine failure in the Calf Sound.
The all weather RNLI lifeboat Gough Ritchie 2 was immediately launched . The lifeboat with it's volunteer crew arrived at the sound within 15 minutes to find that the vessel Woody had managed to restore some power. She was then escorted safely back to port by 5.15pm.
