Ramsgate RNLI launch their 2017 calendar

Next year’s calendar contains another set of photographs of the station’s lifeboats, past and present, off the Thanet coast, many from the stations archives.

Once again everyone at the lifeboat station wishes to thank Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems Ltd. for their generous donation of £150 towards printing costs.

The calendars are available at the RNLI shops at the Customs House, Harbour Parade, Ramsgate and Harbour Street, Broadstairs and cost £5 with all profits going to the RNLI. For postal copies please email Sarah Hewes at [email protected] for information.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives.
