Donation in memory of parents received by R N L I at Beaumaris

Lifeboats News Release

When the parents of Mr Neil Harrison died it was requested that all donations be made to the RNLI and a sum of over £1,850 was collected in total.

Mr Neil Harrison and his God son George Griffiths called at the Beaumaris lifeboat station by appointment on Saturday 30 July 2016 to meet some of the volunteer crew and during this stay they had the opportunity to chat with the crew.
 
In addition a guided tour of the boathouse and the Atlantic 85 Inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington was provided, this visit followed an earlier trip to see the Tamar class Lifeboat Kiwi at Moelfre.
 
£1,650 had been sent to the R N L I Head Office at Poole but during these visits Mr Harrison donated a further £100 to each station

Interested in becoming a crew member?

The charity welcomes people from all walks of life and no previous sea-going experience is needed to join the lifeboat crew. The RNLI provides fantastic training to turn ordinary people into lifesavers. By volunteering with the RNLI people will gain some great experience, knowledge and skills.
 
Beaumaris RNLI are always looking for new volunteers to help run the lifesaving service.  If you are aged 17 or over, physically fit, work or live within 10 minutes of the lifeboat station and eager to join a lifesaving organisation then please come by and say hello.

The volunteers meet every Thursday evenings at 6.00pm for their weekly training exercises.
