Stay safe at the beach this summer
With fewer lifeguards on patrol than normal, it's more important than ever for you to know how to keep you and your loved ones safe
This summer, it's more important than ever that you know how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
- Choose a lifeguarded beach if you can. For an updated list of where you can find beach patrols, visit the lifeguarded beaches page.
- Keep an eye on your loved ones at all times and avoid taking risks in the sea.
- Don't use inflatables.
- If there is an emergency, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
RNLI lifeguards and lifeboat crews will be working extra hard to keep you safe. But we are going to be busier than ever this year. The best thing you can do is to not get into trouble at all. So follow our beach safety advice and protect your loved ones.
Will you help us keep the coasts safe?
Your support is vital to our lifesavers. This summer, RNLI lifeboat crews and lifeguards will be busier than normal. But, because of the lockdown, we have raised less money than normal to fund our lifesaving work. Our lifesavers can only do what they do best because of the equipment, training and operational support donations like yours will provide.
Make a donation today and you will be a lifesaver.
