Take the plunge this Boxing Day at Whitstable RNLI’s annual seaside dip—brave the cold, share the cheer and support your local lifeboat crew.
Start your Boxing Day with a splash at the Whitstable RNLI Boxing Day Dip! Join friends, families and fellow sea swimmers on the beach for a festive plunge into the sea, all in support of Whitstable’s volunteer lifeboat crew.
Whether you fancy a quick dip or want to cheer from the shore, it’s a brilliant way to shake off the Christmas cobwebs, enjoy the community spirit and help celebrate the work of the RNLI. Fancy dress and festive outfits are warmly encouraged—just bring your towel, warm clothes and plenty of enthusiasm. The Sea Scrub Sauna is also open free of charge to all attendees after their dip.
Age restrictions:
Juniors aged 5yrs - 15yrs can participate but must be accompanied by a registered adult. 16-17 year olds can participate unaccompanied but must have parental consent.
Travel:
Parking available at Harbour and Gorrell Tank (Paid parking)
Timings: Arrival from 11.30am, Participants must check in by 12.30pm.
