Selsey RNLI Raft Race 2026

Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Station is pleased to announce the Raft Race is here again for 2026 after its successful return Lifeboat Day events.

Come along ang join us for another exciting race!

The race will start at 1pm on Sunday 2 August alongside a day of activities including fairground rides, community stalls, live entertainment and the Annual Lifeboat Day RNLI capability demonstration.

Participants will be encouraged to raise money for their local lifeboat station by building a raft to take part in a 450m race, parallel with the beach where they will be cheered on by supporters all the way to the finish line.

Fancy dress is optional but strongly encouraged! And thanks to our kind sponsor, Owen Conservatories & Orangeries there will be prizes available for the winner, second place, third place and best dressed raft and crew.
