The RNLI got a crucial boost in funds and awareness in 2024 thanks to the supportive organisations and companies that helped to make it an extra-special year.

    With the talent and expertise of our partners, we created some very special 200th anniversary souvenirs and gifts for our online RNLI Shop and our 170+ shops around the UK and Ireland.

    In the RNLI 200 Limited range, only 200 pieces of each item were made. The range includes luxurious bags, accessories and homeware handcrafted by Will Bees Bespoke and featuring Emma Mawston’s exclusive design; stunning Alex Monroe jewellery and Bremont watches; a unique Heritage Collection made from an RNLI flagpole; a high-performance Typhoon Infinity 200 Drysuit; and bespoke bottles of Salcombe Gin and Rum.

    A collectable worth every penny

    The Royal Mint created a commemorative RNLI 50p coin featuring a brand-new design by experienced coinage artist John Bergdahl. The reverse displays the RNLI flag surrounded by an orange lifering bearing the words ‘200 years 1824–2024’.

    As the official sponsor of the Connecting our Communities event, Ford provided an all-electric E-Transit van to safely transport a special scroll and its custodian to RNLI communities throughout the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

    Bremont, the luxury and high-performance watchmaker, designed and created not one, but three bespoke and limited-edition timepieces especially for our 200th anniversary. Only 200 of each RNLI watch were made, and they form part of Bremont’s Supermarine collection, which is designed for life below and above the waves.

    Round the Island Race
    Official charity partner in 2024

    The RNLI was extremely proud to be the official charity partner for the 2024 Round the Island Race. The money raised will go towards training the volunteer crews at the seven RNLI lifeboat stations that provide safety cover for the annual race around the Isle of Wight - Cowes, Calshot, Bembridge, Mudeford, Lymington, Portsmouth and Yarmouth.

    In May 2024, dryrobe® launched a new Limited Edition RNLI dryrobe® Advance and donated £50 from every sale to our lifesaving charity.     In honour of the RNLI’s Manx roots, the Isle of Man Post Office issued a commemorative collection of six stamps featuring RNLI founder Sir William Hillary and all five RNLI lifeboat stations on the Isle of Man - Port St Mary, Peel, Port Erin, Ramsey and Douglas.

    Award-winning rosarian Peter Beales bred a unique rose to mark 200 years of saving lives at sea. The rose was named ‘With Courage’ by RNLI volunteers and supporters in honour of RNLI founder Sir William Hillary who said: ‘With courage, nothing is impossible.’
