Lord Mark Sedwill GCMG FRCS

Lord Sedwill is a former UK Cabinet Secretary and National Security Adviser. He is Chair of the Atlantic Future Forum, and a non-executive director of Rothschild & Co and Lloyd’s of London.

He is a former Chair of the Civil and Public Service Lifeboat Fund, a Civil Service charity founded in 1866 which exists solely to support the work of the RNLI.  

Lord Sedwill is a long-standing supporter of the RNLI. He is a member of the Royal Yachting Association, British Kite Surfing Association and British Sub-Aqua Club, a water sports enthusiast and a scuba diving instructor.  

He was elected to the RNLI Council in 2021 and appointed a Trustee in 2022.
