Breno Gentil

From my first steps aboard a sailboat as a boy to a recent transatlantic crossing, I have developed a deep admiration for the RNLI’s lifesaving mission. I am honoured to contribute with my experience in digital and technology to support the delivery of a modern, sustainable, and future-ready service.

Breno is a technology executive with over 20 years of international leadership experience driving digital transformation across global organisations including Heineken, British American Tobacco, and Kraft Foods. He has led complex, multi-market technology functions and delivered large-scale digital and IT strategies.

His expertise spans digital platforms, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity – capabilities central to the RNLI’s 2026-30 plan. He is currently a Strategic Partner at C.I.KNOW, where he advises on operational excellence and value creation projects.

A passionate sailor, Breno has sailed over 6,000 nautical miles, including a transatlantic crossing as part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. This experience gives him a personal understanding of the conditions faced by RNLI volunteers. Breno holds a BSc in Computer Engineering, a Master’s in Design, and an MBA.
