What is the RNLI lifeguards 25th anniversary?

RNLI lifeguards have been patrolling beaches across the UK and Channel Islands since 2001. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of those first patrols, there will be a range of events and activities to help celebrate the countless lives saved through prevention, intervention and rescue.

What is the RNLI lifeguard service?

In their 25th year, the RNLI’s lifeguards patrol more than 245 beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. Trained to keep you and your loved ones safe, lifeguards share safety advice, alert people to dangers and rescue those in danger of drowning. So, if you’re heading to a beach, choose a lifeguarded one.
