Face to face will writing service

Write or update your Will for free with our partners, the National Free Wills Network and the Irish Free Wills Network.

How our free face-to-face Will service works:

  • Once you've submitted the forms, two things will happen:
  1. You will receive your free Gifts in Wills Guide from the RNLI.
  2. Separately, one of our trusted partners, the National or Irish Free Wills Network, will send you the names and addresses of at least two local firms of solicitors within 5 working days.
  • We pay a special rate for a local solicitor to write a sample Will and there is no cost to you.
  • However, if your Will is more complicated you may be asked to pay an additional cost. This will be agreed between you and the solicitor beforehand, so you won't suddenly face an unexpected bill
  • If you choose to leave a gift to the RNLI in your Will, once we have received your gift your name will be added to the side of a future lifeboat along with the names of 10,000 other supporters who have left a gift in their Will to the RNLI.

To qualify for the free Wills service, you or your partner must be 18 years or over.

Simply complete our short online form to be referred to the National or Irish Free Wills Network to write or update your Will for free.

We will need to share your details with Capacity Marketing, who run the scheme and will only use your details to contact you about making or updating a Will for free. For full details on how they will use your data please see their Privacy Policy.
