Pub Landlady Hazel Whitelock said 'Once again we are delighted to support the tremendous work of the RNLI and its volunteers. A special thanks must go to our regular quiz teams whose support for our fundraising events has been fantastic.
Pub regular Angela Childs of Lloyds Bank who lives on the Headland and often witnesses the lifeboats heading out to sea said 'When I found out the pub was raising funds for the local RNLI I applied for a donation from Lloyds Banking Group and they matched the money raised at the pub. I am in awe of what the RNLI do and the great support from the pub regulars'.
Hartlepool RNLI crewmember Jimmy Slaughter said 'On behalf of all the volunteers at the Ferry Road lifeboat station we would like to say thank you to Glenn and Hazel at the pub for there continued support and Angela's donation from Lloyds Bank. Without donations like this we would not be able to play our part in saving lives at sea and being on call for anyone in trouble at sea.'
