Celebrating 20 years of service at Littlestone RNLI

Danny was presented his long service medal by Paddy McLaughlin (RNLI Trustee and volunteer Coxswain) and Jacqui Irons (Head of Region) during a visit by the Coastal Assurance Review Team.

Littlestone RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager John Kenny said:

'The RNLI is built on the commitment of volunteers, every volunteer contributes in their own way, and that commitment is what keeps Littlestone RNLI at the heart of our community. I would like to thank Danny for everything he has given to the station over the years.

'It's a tremendous achievement and Danny has been a volunteer for 20 of the 200 years that a lifeboat has been stationed on this part of the Kent coast.'

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
