Wonderful weekend for Hastings RNLI station

Paul, already the coxswain of the station’s all weather Shannon lifeboat, qualified as a helm on the inshore lifeboat; Sam, Hector and Harry qualified as ‘Tier 2’ (higher grade) inshore lifeboat crew; Dan qualified as Tier 1 inshore lifeboat crew; and Lucy and Vikki qualified as inshore lifeboat shore crew.

Hastings RNLI lifeboat operations manager Jo Mayne said: 'What a wonderful weekend this has been for the station, marking the culmination of many months of intensive training and commitment from our volunteer crew. It’s a fantastic achievement, further strengthening our operational capability and resilience.'

'I would also like to thank the rest of the crew who turned out this weekend, giving up their time to make these achievements possible.'
