Beaumaris Lifeboat volunteers tasked to a man overboard from a boat

The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington with her volunteer crew launched and proceed ed toward the Menai Bridge.

In addition to the Beaumaris Lifeboat volunteer the Mobile Coastguard Rescue team from, Bangor attended.

Fortunately, the casualty had and his craft had been recovered to the shore by a passing vessel prior to the arrival of the lifeboat,

It is understood the casualty refused medical treatment but was advised by the coastguard to be alert fort Secondary downing symptoms. Symptoms of secondary drowning usually start to appear within 1 to 24 hours after a water incident, and It happens when a small amount of water enters the lungs. The water irritates the lung lining and causes swelling or fluid build up (pulmonary edema). This prevents the lungs from moving enough oxygen into the blood.

The Lifeboat was then stood down by the Coastguard and returned to her station at Beaumaris to be refuelled and cleaned. and made ready for her next service call.

Once this had been completed by the crew left the station.
