The lifeboat station is looking for new volunteers to join its team and play an important role in helping to save lives at sea.

Shore crew and launch vehicle operators are essential to the safe and effective operation of the lifeboat station. From preparing for launches and supporting the lifeboat crew to operating the vehicles used to launch and recover the lifeboats, these roles help ensure the station is ready to respond when called upon by HM Coastguard.

People interested in finding out more are encouraged to read the relevant role descriptions before registering their interest by emailing [email protected].

Once they have registered their interest, prospective volunteers can arrange to visit the station as part of the open evening on 2 November, where they will have the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the roles.

Paul Adams, Lifeboat Operations Manager for Cardigan RNLI said:

‘Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re always keen to hear from people in our local community who would like to make a difference.

‘You don’t need to be an experienced lifeboat volunteer to take that first step. If you’re interested in becoming part of the team, we’d encourage you to read the role descriptions and get in touch. We’d love to welcome you to the station, show you what’s involved and help you decide whether volunteering with us could be right for you.’

For more information about volunteering opportunities at Cardigan RNLI, or to register an interest in attending the open evening, email [email protected].
